About the artist
About the artist
AraPacis is a Canadian hard rock/progressive rock/doom metal band formed in early 2003 by guitarist Jerry Fielden, fronted by Scots singer Michelle Macpherson and driven by the keyboards of ex-Rainbow member David Stone's young protégé Gillan Macpherson-Briggs, son of Jerry and Michelle. The stated goal is to recreate aspects of 70’s era hard rock with 21st century doom and prog metal feels. The band is named for the monument in Rome, the Ara Pacis, an altar to peace commissioned by the Roman emperor Augustus.
