Description
Collection of works from Italian film-maker Vittorio De Seta, including the 1961 drama 'Bandits of Orgosolo' and his series of short film documentaries entitled 'The Lost World'. In 'Bandits of Orgosolo', a shepherd named Michele (Michele Cossu) must flee and take refuge in the hills when he is accused of murder. However, in his desperation, Michele resorts to stealing sheep and threatens a shepherd at gunpoint, coming to fulfil the reputation he sought to disprove.
'The Lost World' includes: 'The Age of the Swordfish' (1954), 'Islands of Fire' (1954), 'Surfarara' (1955), 'Easter in Sicily' (1956), 'Sea Countrymen' (1956), 'Golden Parable' (1955), 'Fishing Boats' (1958), 'Orgosolo's Shepherds' (1958), 'A Day in Barbagia' (1958) and 'The Forgotten' (1959).
