Description

Bill Pullman and Bill Paxton star in this psychological horror directed by Adam Simon. Neurosurgeon Dr. Rex Martin (Pullman) is an expert in conditions including paranoia and studies methods to surgically eliminate certain mental illnesses.

When Martin's expertise is requested by Jim Reston (Paxton), a friend of Martin's from high school who now works for the Eunice Corporation, Martin is intrigued by the case he presents. John Halsey (Bud Cort) is a mathematical genius who used to work for Eunice but then murdered his family and is now housed in an asylum, and Eunice seek to recover the secrets held in Halsey's brain. However, the more involved Martin becomes with Halsey and Eunice, the more he finds himself suffering from severe paranoia and struggling to maintain a hold on reality...
