Description

Saffron Burrows, Thomas Jane and LL Cool J star in this action thriller directed by Renny Harlin. In a remote underwater facility, Dr. Susan McAlester (Burrows), Dr.

Jim Whitlock (Stellan Skarsgård) and their team are working on a cure for Alzheimer's disease by conducting research on mako sharks. However, in the process they have made the sharks more intelligent and far more deadly. When a storm hits the facility and it floods, the sharks take advantage of the situation.

They are intent on escape and soon the staff are caught up in a desperate fight to survive and to prevent the sharks from reaching the open ocean. The cast also includes Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Rapaport.
