Description

Pedro Pascal and Joaquin Phoenix star in this contemporary Western written and directed by Ari Aster. In May 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, the town of Eddington, New Mexico is struggling. When Mayor Ted Garcia (Pascal) enforces a lockdown and the wearing of masks, Sheriff Joe Cross (Phoenix) fights back against the restrictions.

Cross then decides to run against Garcia, who is campaigning for re-election, and as their conflict escalates the town descends into chaos. The cast also includes Austin Butler, Emma Stone and Luke Grimes.
