Description

Simon Napier-Bell directs this documentary chronicling the personal life and career of musician George Michael. Rising to prominence in the pop band Wham! alongside school friend Andrew Ridgeley, the duo had top ten singles such as 'Club Tropicana', 'Everything She Wants' and 'Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go' which reached number one. Michael went on to achieve success as a solo artist with 'Careless Whisper' which reached number one in charts around the world, and collaborated with other famous artists such as Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder.

The film also highlights Michael's numerous philanthropic acts, his clashes with the media and his increasingly private life until his death in 2016 at the age of 53.
