Description

Zachary Levi stars in this fantasy adventure based on the children's books by Crockett Johnson which combines live-action and animation. Harold (Levi) lives inside of a book and can make anything come to life if he draws it with his magical purple crayon, including his friends Moose (Lil Rel Howery) and Porcupine (Tanya Reynolds). When the narrator of his story disappears, Harold draws a door into the real world to find him and meets Terri (Zooey Deschanel) and her son Mel (Benjamin Bottani).

Mel is eager to help but Harold and his crayon soon cause chaos in the city, drawing the attention of Gary (Jemaine Clement), a librarian who wants to take the crayon and use its power for his own gain.
