Rowan Atkinson stars as the eponymous French detective who must catch an elusive serial killer, identify the murderer of a man who contacted Maigret prior to his death, solve the case of a murdered jeweller and find a link between two dead women, one a stripper and the other a countess. Series 1 episodes are: 'Maigret Sets a Trap' and 'Maigret's Dead Man'.

Series 2 episodes are: 'Maigret's Night at the Crossroads' and 'Maigret in Montmarte'.
