Description
François Truffaut directs this erotic tale of young millionaire Louis Mahe (Jean-Paul Belmondo) and his mail-order bride Julie Rouselle (Catherine Deneuve) on the tropical Isle de Reunion. Tobacco tycoon Louis is completely enraptured by Julie and when she disappears without a trace he vows to stop at nothing to find her. This decision eventually entangles him in a relentless obsession which ends in cold blooded murder.
