Description
Ida Lupino and Robert Ryan star in this 1950s film noir directed by Nicholas Ray. When his violent methods get him into trouble, police detective Jim Wilson (Ryan) is sent upstate to investigate the murder of a young girl. There he falls in love with Mary Malden (Lupino), whose brother becomes Wilson's prime suspect.
Will he bow to Mary's demand to protect her brother or will he continue his pursuit of justice?
