About the artist

British Psychobilly band.
Skitzo was founded in London in early 1985 by Phil (vocals) and Rod Connor (drums). Shortly afterwards, Tony Bronham (bass) and Anthony McVey (guitar) joined the band. The band played their first gigs under the name "The Electros". After Tony rejoined the group following a six-month prison sentence, the band changed its name to Skitzo. Shortly afterwards, Steve Tomlinson replaced Rod Connor on drums, who was sidelined for an extended period due to an accident.
With their popularity growing, the band finally signed a record deal with Nervous Records, resulting in the album Skitzo Mania.
The following year, McVey and Tomlinson left the band. Their positions were taken over by Strut (drums) and Pete Davis (guitar), which made the group's sound harder. Phil Connor had to give up singing for health reasons (too many powerful screams), and in 1990 the band finally broke up.
In 1993, Phil and Rod Connor revived Skitzo. The band performed at a few shows again and recorded a new album in 1996.
Rod Connor passed away on July 10, 2016.
