Description

Charlton Heston and Leigh Taylor-Young star in this sci-fi thriller directed by Richard Fleischer. In a dystopian future where civilisation is on the brink of collapse, voluntary death is encouraged by government clinics and food is in very short supply. The majority of New York's population are out of work and live on rations made by the Soylent Corporation but when a member of their board is murdered, Detective Thorn (Heston) begins to investigate.

As he attempts to uncover the truth about what happened, he makes a shocking discovery about the company's latest creation, Soylent Green. The cast also includes Edward G. Robinson, Chuck Connors and Brock Peters.
