Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger star in this remake of the 1972 film by Sam Peckinpah. When bank robber Doc McCoy (Baldwin) gets arrested while doing a job, his devoted wife Carol (Basinger) approaches crime boss Jack Benyon (James Woods) to help secure his release. In return for the favour, Doc must pull off a heist for Benyon with old colleague Rudy (Michael Madsen), who proceeds to double cross everyone concerned.
When Doc and Carol manage to get away with the money they find themselves pursued by the police, as well as Rudy and Benyon's followers. The cast also includes Philip Seymour Hoffman, Richard Farnsworth and Jennifer Tilly.
