Description

Paul Mescal and Josh O'Connor star in this drama directed by Oliver Hermanus. In New England in 1917, students Lionel Worthing and David White (Mescal and O'Connor) meet and immediately bond over their shared love of traditional folk music. They enter into a relationship until David is drafted to fight in World War I but after the war, they reunite and embark on a journey across Maine to collect folk songs together.

When they are forced apart once more, Lionel travels to Europe but years later returns to Maine in search of his former lover. The cast also includes Chris Cooper, Hadley Robinson and Emma Canning.
